A core aerator removes plugs of soil from your lawn, which helps loosen compacted soil and allows vital air, water, and nutrients to reach the roots. Along with overseeding are key lawn care steps, combining to create a healthier, thicker lawn by using a machine to pull soil plugs (aeration) and then spreading new seed (overseeding) into those holes for better water, air, and nutrient penetration, leading to improved density and weed resistance. For best results, this is typically done in the Fall (Spring is 2nd best).
